Chase was quizzing the children on their memories of famous authors and their writings. He asked Audrey, " Nathaniel Hawthorne was the author of 'The Scarlet_______?'". Audrey guessed , "The Scarlet Fever?" Giving Madeleine a try next, she said, "The Scarlet Garden?" Hmmmm, that does sound oddly familiar.....but, no, it was Delaney who got it right with "The Scarlet Letter"!
